How it Works

booksHire-a-Site

Do I own the website after my rental period expires?

Yes, if you have fulfilled your payment rental obligations, you are the owner of your website.

What are the options after my rental period expires?

There are two options:
1. Renew your rental agreement
2. Do not renew your rental and transfer your website to another host

Do I own my domain name?

Yes, in fact I ask clients to sign up for their own domain name, so they have the choice to renew after the expiry term. There will also be a username and password allocated for your new host to change the name servers.

Will my email change if I move to a new host?

No. Most Host Servers provide email addresses as part of their hosting package. They will set up the email via their server.

If I sign up for a rental agreement, can I host with someone else?

Unfortunately no. Part of the rental costing includes hosting. After the rental period however, if you no longer need to Hire-a-Site, you can transfer to another hosting of your choice.

If I need extra work on my website, how will I know how much the site rental will cost?

After our initial discussion about the needs of your website, I will email you a detailed quote, which you may decline or accept. If you accept, I will then send you an invoice with payments details.

How can I pay for my Hire-a-Site?

You will be sent an invoice, with the instructions of your recurring payment method. Payments can be made via PayPal or Credit Card. This will be discussed before you receive your invoice.
